COLD HARD ART – an interview with Tom Patsis – Master Builder!

As all of you know My Sick Ride isn’t just about cars but about people who love cars and have made them part of their lives in one way or another. Well today we’d like to introduce you to our new friend Thomas Michael Patsis from Ellsworth, Maine. You can start to look at some of his amazing work here and read more about him below.

Tom is the genius behind and you can also check out some of his awesome work on his FaceBook fan page:  Originally from  Ellsworth, Maine – he moved to Lima, Ohio to go to the University of North Western Ohio where he got a degree in high performance , welding and alternative fuels. He thought that someday that might help him get a job in racing.

His dreams started coming true when he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana for a job with Don Schumacher Racing, working on the Pro Stock bike teams of Angelle Sampey, Antron Brown, Chip Ellis, Craig Treble and Matt Smith. He worked on the Pro Stock team for 6 years before switching to the fab shop at DSR. That’s where he really enjoyed building stuff!

Then again, he should have truly realized how much he loved building stuff back when he was a kid playing with Legos all the time – building dragsters – crashing them – then putting them back together… Not that he wants to be crashing dragsters today – but building them is fun enough!

Here are a few more pictures to enjoy of Tom’s amazing work – and don’t forget to check out his site for even more at
